Lady Antebellum claim ultimate accolade as they are honoured for 'artistry and philanthropy' at the Recording Academy's GRAMMYs On The Hill

They’ve developed a strong and steady following since the release of their eponymous debut album in 2007, so it was fitting that Lady Antebellum received the ultimate accolade at the Recording Academy’s GRAMMYs on the Hill Awards on Wednesday evening.
The Nashville formed country trio, comprised of founding members Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, were on hand to personally collect their honour, the Recording Artists Coalition Award, at the annual event in Washington D.C.
Posing for photos shortly after arriving, lead singer Hillary – who gave birth to her first child with drummer husband Chris Tyrell last July – stood out in a gun-metal grey printed mini dress.

The 28-year-old rounded off her look with strappy peep-toe heels, while bold red lipstick gave her overall appearance an added splash of colour.

GRAMMYs on the Hill – billed as ‘Washington’s most interesting mix of music and politics’ – were honouring the band for their charitable endeavours with poverty stricken overseas communities, as well as consistent success on the lucrative country and mainstream pop music scene.
Elsewhere House of Representatives Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi were also awarded for their understanding of the importance music plays in contemporary life.
